To Back a selection is to place a bet for something to happen. For example to back Manchester United would be to place money on them to win their match. If they win, so does your bet. Click here for more information.
Best execution is the process by which Betfair will match a customer's bet at better odds than asked for, when available. This normally occurs in two ways (a) the best odds may be only offered at a small stake while the second best odds are at a much larger stake. A customer may enter the required odds as the second best, which has the effect of matching the small bet at the better odds and the large bet at the second best odds; (b) where a customer has entered a bet but, before it is confirmed, better odds become available. A customer will always get the best odds available at the time of matching.
Betfair is available on your mobile, so you won't miss out on the betting action while away from your PC. Betfair mobile is compatible with most modern JAVA phones and offers you all of Betfair's betting functionality.

The Book Percentage gives a measure of the competitiveness of the prices on offer. It is calculated by adding up the individual percentage chance of every selection based on the price offered. It is often referred to as the “Overound”
When backing a selection the lower the book percentage is, the fairer the prices should be. This usually means looking for a figure close to 100%. On Occasion the percentage will go bellow this, in which case you could theoretically back every selection and guarantee a profit. However, this kind of market anomaly will usually correct itself very quickly.
