Cancelled bets
Unmatched bets can be cancelled or amended at any time at which point they will register on your account as “cancelled”. Once a bet has been matched however, it cannot be amended or cancelled. A matched bet can however be voided by Betfair in certain circumstances (e.g. if the event was cancelled).
Commission
Betfair charge a commission on your net winnings on a market, so you only pay commission if you are successful in a given market. If you have a net loss on a market you do not pay commission.
Commission is calculated by multiplying your net winnings by the Market Base Rate, as shown on the Rules tab. A win of £100 on a market with an MBR of 5% would result in you paying £5 in commission. See here.
Customise Markets
You can customise your preferred markets for your menu bar navigation under the My Markets tab on the left hand side of the homepage. Select My Markets then click the Customise Markets option at the top of the menu. Select your preferred markets or events – these will appear in your customised menu when you login.
CVV2 number
The last three digits of the number on the back of your debit/credit card (printed on the signature strip) are called the CVV2 number/code. This is a security device that banks employ to ensure that you are in possession of a card when it is used.
